Specialised properties are achievable through careful design using composites. For instance how many materials can be designed to have zero thermal expansion? For many years these unique properties have been reserved for high tech industries such as aerospace and defence, partly due to the perceived complexities of design using composites. Designers at aCADmy have considerable experience in design and manufacture using a range of advanced composite materials including Carbon fibre, Kevlar and high spec Glass with matrices such as Epoxy, Cyanate-Ester and Vinyl-Ester.

We are able to prototype composite parts using a hand or vacuum lay-up, with wet or pre-preg materials depending on requirements. Our industry partners are able to provide further production capability including fillament winding and full autoclave cure.
